Create Fun Online Game -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m setting up a purely virtual, entertainment-focused activity and have decided that an online game will be the best way to bring everyone together. What I need is a lightweight, browser-based multiplayer game that people can join instantly—no downloads, no steep learning curve, just quick fun that keeps a group engaged for 15–20 minutes per round.
Here’s what I have in mind:
– The theme and mechanics should feel casual and social, something players can grasp in under a minute.
– It must run smoothly on desktop and mobile browsers, ideally built with HTML5/JavaScript (Node.js or similar for the back end; WebSocket real-time play is a plus).
– A simple lobby, in-game chat or emoji reactions, and an automatic scoreboard would make the experience complete.
Acceptance criteria
1. Up to 20 concurrent players can join a private room via a single link.
2. Gameplay is responsive and free of critical bugs for at least one full test session.
3. Source files and a brief setup guide are handed over so I can deploy on my own small server afterward.
If you have a prototype that already ticks most of these boxes, even better—I’m open to fine-tuning an existing game. Let me know how you’d approach it and the timeframe you’d need to deliver a polished, ready-to-play experience.
