Board Game Designer to Create a Basic Concept for Board
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Hello! I am looking for a freelance designer to create a playable board game concept. Only the spaces, start and finish and stops/obstacles need to be on it. It can be basic colors - no extra design is needed as I am still working out the gameplay mechanics. The game is a 2-6 player board game where players must navigate through obstacles to reach a space station and win the game. The intent is to have a playable game board, not the final product. so it can be basic to meet the requirements and facilitate game play.
I need someone with experience in board game design to create a concept for the game board. The board should be designed with the following specifications:
-The board should have around 70 spaces in total on the main path with connector paths that offer shorter routes. (think shoots and ladders or candyland)
-The board should also have 4 connector paths, each around 10-12 spaces long, that branch out from the main path.
-There should be enough space between each space for players to move their tokens without any confusion. I've attached the template.
-There will be planets, refuel stations and wormholes that should be clearly marked.
-The design should be clear and easy to read, with distinct markings for the different paths.
-At this time - this is just the mechanics of the game - the extra aesthetic design is not needed. Basic colors and symbols are fine.
-Aim is to create a playable game board to test the game rules further.

-Create a playable concept for the game board based on my specifications
-Work closely with me to ensure the board design meets our needs and vision for the game
-Provide updates on the progress of the board design
Requirements:
-Experience in board game design preferred
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
-Experience with design software such as Photoshop or gimp
-This is a freelance position.
