Board Game Art Redesign
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Race to Everest is a family-friendly adventure board game for 2–5 players, where climbers compete to reach the summit of Mount Everest and make it safely back to Basecamp. Players must balance speed, risk, and money as they choose between safer routes, dangerous shortcuts, and unexpected events along the way. While reaching the summit is essential, having enough funds for helicopter rescue on the descent is just as critical.
The game has been thoroughly playtested, and all rules and core mechanics are finalized. This project phase focuses on developing a cohesive and engaging visual design that brings the world of Race to Everest to life and enhances the sense of adventure, tension, and fun.
Key Requirements:
Art Style: Cartoon-inspired, lively and authentic with a subtle retro adventure feel
Design Elements: Game board, cards, game pieces, and in-game currency
Theme: Epic adventure, focused on exploration, excitement, and discovery
Ideal Skills and Experience:
A portfolio that demonstrates creativity, personality, and visual storytelling, especially within cartoon or adventure-inspired styles
All experience levels are welcome — students, emerging artists, and seasoned designers alike
Interest in board games or tabletop design is a plus, but not a requirement
Open-minded, collaborative, and excited to contribute original ideas
Able to work within clear guidelines, a defined scope, and agreed-upon timelines
