Arabic Localization for MMORPG Game
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I have a full-scale MMORPG ready to enter the Arabic-speaking market and I want every in-game string, menu, quest description, NPC dialogue, item name and system message translated and culturally localized. Nothing should remain in English, so the job covers the entire text database—in total, several hundred thousand words spread across CSV and JSON files.
Because immersion is vital, I am looking for a linguist who not only delivers flawless Modern Standard Arabic but also understands gaming jargon, community slang, and the narrative tone typical of large online worlds. Consistency across skill names, UI labels and lore terms is critical; I will provide a master glossary and expect you to expand and maintain it as we go.
The files are organized per module (UI, tutorial, quests, combat, items, events). I am flexible on the schedule; quality outweighs speed, and there is no hard deadline. However, I’d appreciate a clear milestone plan—perhaps per module—so both of us can track progress and review batches in context using the in-house CAT tool or your preferred solution (MemoQ, Trados, Lokalise, etc.).
Deliverables
• Fully translated and proof-read Arabic text files returned in the original structure and encoding
• An updated glossary / termbase
• Change log documenting any context questions or ambiguous source strings
Acceptance criteria
• Zero missing strings or truncated characters after reintegration
• Glossary adherence above 98 % (verified by QA tool)
• Text passes linguistic QA for grammar, punctuation and cultural suitability
If deep knowledge of MMORPG conventions, raids, classes and itemisation is second nature to you, I’d love to discuss the project further and see a short sample of your previous game work.
