Samurai Village Isometric Art Revamp
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
My browser-based strategy game needs a fresh coat of paint. I’m replacing the current medieval-European look with a distinctly Japanese, samurai-era atmosphere, and I want every pixel to feel hand-crafted and professional.
Scope
• One HD isometric village background large enough to scroll smoothly on desktop (Travian / Ikariam scale). Think tiled rooftops, paper lanterns, wooden bridges and subtle seasonal foliage—overall clean and readable, not overloaded with detail.
• Six to ten individual building sprites rendered from the same ¾ top-down angle. Each must sit naturally on the background grid and arrive as separate transparent PNG files so the game engine can swap or upgrade them at runtime.
Style & technical notes
• Resolution: at least 2× current full-screen size so we can downscale without losing clarity.
• Palette: earthy wood, muted reds, indigo accents—authentic yet bright enough for casual play.
• File naming and alignment must match a simple template I’ll provide (origin at bottom-center for easy placement).
• No UI, icons or menus are part of this brief.
Deliverables
- 1 polished isometric background (PNG + layered source)
- 6–10 building PNGs, individually exported, transparent, consistent perspective
- Original editable source files (PSD, Aseprite, or equivalent)
Acceptance
Assets drop into the current Travian-style grid without visible seams, maintain crisp edges at 100 % zoom, and evoke a believable Sengoku-period settlement.
If you love painting isometric worlds and can keep everything lightweight for web, we’ll be a great fit.
