Reconstruct Mechanical Part STL as STEP
Budget: $10 – $50 USD
******In order to be considered for this project, you MUST message me confirming that you understand this is a fixed-price project and that your bid reflects the full and final price for the scope described. Any attempt to request additional payment after submitting a bid will result in the proposal being declined and reported as a violation of the platform’s Terms of Service.*******
I’ll send you a mechanical-part STL that I need rebuilt from the ground up as a clean, feature-based solid. Please ignore the mesh entirely and recreate every surface and feature so the result opens in Shapr3D or Fusion360 as a fully editable STEP model.
What matters most to me is dimensional accuracy and the ability to tweak fillets, holes, and other features later. The STL represents a single solid part—no hidden assemblies—so the finished STEP should come in as one watertight body with a logical feature tree and no fragmented faces.
Deliverables
• STEP file (AP214 or AP242) that imports into Shapr3D or Fusion360 as a single parametric solid
• Optional native file from the CAD platform you use (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.) if that helps future edits
• Brief note confirming critical dimensions match the original STL
Acceptance
I’ll verify that the STEP opens without facetting, matches key dimensions within ±0.1 mm, and that basic features (chamfers, holes, bosses) remain editable.
If this sounds clear, I’ll get the STL to you right away so you can begin.
