Quadruped Mechanism Design Needed expect in solidworks

Job ID: 40376569

Budget: ₹15,000 – ₹27,000 INR

I’m building a compact, four-legged robot and need a mechanical designer who can take it from concept to validated CAD. Whether you prefer SolidWorks or Fusion 360 is completely up to you—the important part is a solid background in robotics mechanisms, joints, linkages, and gears, backed by a portfolio that shows assemblies in motion rather than static renders.

Project scope
The core task is a lightweight yet strong leg architecture. Each leg will have hip and knee joints that must offer a wide range of motion and allow precise control once the actuators and gearing are in place. Please reserve internal volume and mounting points for a Jetson board alongside a battery pack, and route cabling logically so the final build stays neat.

What I expect from you
• A full 3D assembly of the four-leg structure, complete with motor, gearbox, and bearing selections.
• Motion-simulation files proving joint travel, clash-free movement, and expected torque requirements.
• Drawings (DXF/PDF) and STEP/STL exports ready for machining or printing.
• A concise BOM with part numbers and material notes that balance weight against durability.

Acceptance criteria
1. CAD shows continuous hip and knee rotation to the specified angles without interference.
2. Finite element or equivalent strength verification demonstrates load capacity meets targets while staying under the weight limit we’ll define together.
3. All electronics and batteries fit within the allocated envelope with clearance for heat dissipation.

If you thrive on precision mechanisms and can iterate quickly, let’s talk details and timelines.
