Prosthetic Hand Design -- 2
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
The initial phase includes designing a fully functional prosthetic hand with:
Modular finger assemblies
Tendon-driven actuation system
Single-motor transmission
Geneva indexing mechanism (or improved alternative if you have a better engineering solution)
Internal gear mechanism
Modular tendon cartridge
Replaceable fingers
Palm housing with internal transmission system
Motor mount
Battery compartment
Electronics mounting
Wrist adapter
Complete assembly
The design must be optimized for FDM 3D printing and future revisions.
Responsibilities
Mechanical product design
Parametric CAD modeling
Assembly creation
Motion mechanism development
Design for additive manufacturing (DfAM)
Exploded assembly drawings
Engineering drawings
STL and STEP export
Design improvements and engineering recommendations
Required Skills
Fusion 360 (Preferred)
SolidWorks
Mechanical Product Design
Mechanism Design
Gear Design
Tendon/Cable Driven Mechanisms
Design for 3D Printing
Tolerance Analysis
Assembly Design
Experience with prosthetics, robotics, exoskeletons, or medical devices is a plus but not mandatory.
Deliverables
The selected freelancer will provide:
Native CAD files
STEP files
STL files
Exploded assemblies
Assembly drawings
Manufacturing drawings
BOM (Bill of Materials)
Motion animation (if possible)
Development Phases
Additional phases may include prototype refinement, testing support, and production optimization.
Preferred Experience
Please include examples of projects involving:
Mechanical assemblies
Robotics
Prosthetic devices
Consumer products
Medical devices
3D printed mechanisms
Gear systems
Budget
Open to discussion based on experience, portfolio, and project scope.
Please provide:
Your estimated cost
Timeline
CAD software used
Relevant portfolio
Intellectual Property
All work produced during this project, including CAD files, drawings, and engineering designs, will become the intellectual property of Make One Innovations upon project completion and payment. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and IP Assignment Agreement may be required before work begins.
About the Project
The long-term vision is to develop an affordable prosthetic platform for users worldwide through modular design, rapid manufacturing, and accessible technology. Successful collaboration on this prototype may lead to ongoing work on future prosthetic and biomedical engineering projects.
