Practical Product Design Assistance Needed

Job ID: 40079372

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I have an idea for a product whose main purpose is purely practical, yet I’m stuck on how to turn that idea into a clear, manufacturable design. What I need is hands-on support from someone experienced in product design who can walk me through each stage—from shaping the concept and choosing the right materials, to producing sketches, 3D models, and final specifications ready for prototyping.

We’ll start by discussing the core function and everyday context of the item so that the form truly follows its practical purpose. From there, I’d like you to:

• Develop rough concept sketches that explore different approaches to the problem
• Refine the strongest concept into detailed drawings or CAD models (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or another tool you’re comfortable with)
• Provide recommendations on materials, mechanisms, and basic manufacturing methods suitable for small-scale production or rapid prototyping
• Deliver production-ready files (STEP or STL) along with a brief bill of materials and any key assembly notes

I’m new to this process, so clear explanations and a collaborative attitude are essential. If you can handle the technical side while educating me on each step, we’ll be a great fit.
