Looking for a Freelancer to Design a Modular Laboratory Furniture System

Project Description:
We are looking for a skilled technical designer / engineer / architect with experience in industrial or technical furniture design to develop a complete modular laboratory furniture system.
The system should be suitable for various types of laboratories (chemistry, biology, research, quality control, etc.) and adaptable to different room configurations.

Main Tasks:
• Develop a comprehensive modular furniture concept (base units, frames, countertops, upper cabinets, sink units, fume hood tables, etc.)
• Deliver technical production drawings (detailed dimensions, CNC cutting files, assembly details)
• Select appropriate materials (HPL, moisture/chemical-resistant particleboard, stainless steel, phenolic resin, etc.)
• Ensure ergonomics, safety, and workflow efficiency specific to laboratory environments
• Preferably experienced in industrial, technical, or medical furniture design

Deliverables:
• Full modular system concept (standardized modules and connection methods)
• 3D visualizations / renderings for presentation
• Detailed technical drawings (DWG/DXF/PDF formats)
• Bill of materials and hardware specifications

Required Skills / Software:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or SketchUp + LayOut (or equivalent CAD software)
• Experience with parametric or modular design is a strong advantage
