Fusion 360 to VCarve Import Help
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I already have a finished 3-D model built in Autodesk Fusion 360, and I’m ready to move it into VCarve for machining in wood. Where I’m stuck is the hand-off itself: making sure the model lands in VCarve at the proper scale, orientation, and zero-point so I can go straight to toolpath work without nasty surprises on the CNC.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Walk me through—or do for me—the cleanest workflow for exporting from Fusion and importing into VCarve so the geometry stays intact.
• Fix or flag any issues that will cause slicing errors, odd normals, or misaligned origins once the file is inside VCarve.
• Deliver a ready-to-open .crv file (or step-by-step notes if we screen-share) that shows my model correctly positioned on a wood job setup.
You must have solid, real-world experience with both Fusion 360 and Vectric VCarve; I’m looking for practical tips, not theory. If you can jump on a quick call or remote session to verify the workflow live, even better.
Once I can load the file, see the model exactly as intended, and confirm the axes and stock size match my wooden blank, the job is done.
