Overview
There are 2 parts which I needed to be drawn with Fusion360. As shown in the image attached with the pipe-jointed pyramid. There is a single main square base pyramid at the top which are joined by 4 different connections where each one of them have the same accessing angle to the main top connector. At the base of the pyramid, there are 4 identical copies of the connecting bricks which links all four pipes together at the ground level and 4 pipes going up to the main connector at the top of the pyramid.
Variables
There is 1 manually editable variable at the design – The diameter of the pipes. We should name this “Pipe diameter”, this design should be editable from the “constrain table” and all the other related constrain would be adjusted automatically.
Detailed Design of the Connectors
At the top of the pyramid connector. It should follow the details as:
• Square base sides length: 80mm
• Slope edge to base angle: 65 degrees
• Vertical height: 121.31mm
• Slope edge length: 133.95mm
• Apex centred perfectly above base centre
Please see drawing (1) and image (1) for illustration.
There will be 4 pipes going into above said Pyramid, drawing (2) & image (2), at the bottom of the base. So, we will need to hollow in 4-cylinder shape blind holes into the top connector pyramid. Please use the following details:
• The edge of the circular entrance will be 13mm away from each angle of the edge
• The cylinder shape entering the base will be at the angle of 65 degrees to the apex, the same as the slope edge to the base
• The depth of the cylinder at its center point should be 45mm
• The “Pipe diameter” variable should be either 19.1mm or 22.5mm
• The extra width of diameter should be expanded towards the center of the base, while the closest edge to the corners should always be 13mm
As for the base connectors, it will be a repeat of 4’s, so I will just need one drawing for it. Please refers to image (3), (4), (5) and (6) for the rough design and use the following details for the drawing:
• The base of this connector is 60mm by 60mm and it has a vertical height of 35mm
• There will be 2 cutouts from 2 sides walls at the base., see image (7). These cutouts will be entertaining the pipe going into this block, and the pipe is meant to be lay flat against the ground when is it sitting on the floor. There will be a cutout at the top left corner on both sides. Please refers to drawing (7) with the 65 degrees on the design
• There should be a “blip” on each side of the pipe cutout’s entrance to secure the pipe in place. Please refers to drawing (8) for the details. The “blip” should be taking up 0.2mm on each
• At the top of the connector. There is another pipe entrance for the pipe to get connected to the top pyramid, so the blind holes will be existing at an angle of 65 degrees as well. The deepest part of the blind holes should be 5mm away from the bottom of the base.
• There will be a slight contact between the pipe exist from the top and the pipes coming in from the sides. Please see image (8) for reference.
Other modelling notes:
- Model the pyramid as a single, fully solid body (no internal cavities or shelling) with these 4 angled blind holes.
- My slicer will handle wall thickness and infill, so just provide a solid body with the 4 angled holes.
Export:
- The fusion 360 working file and the STL file, ready for slicing/printing.
