Fusion 360 Automotive Sheetmetal and Solid Modeling
Budget: $15 – $50 USD
I need an experienced Fusion 360 user to turn my conceptual parameters and competitive benchmarks into production-ready models for automotive parts. This is essentially two different projects under one RFP. The goal is manufacturability, so every bend radius, relief cut, and hole pattern has to unfold perfectly for laser cutting and stamping.
You will receive:
• Key dimensions and mounting interfaces
• Conceptual designs and/or parameters
• Material and gauge requirements
• Photos of competitive products for reference
FEA analysis will need to be performed on the design to validate design is adequate for loads both static and dynamic. May need to verify kinematic motion and clearances for some designsFrom there, I expect native Fusion 360 files built with a clean parametric history, accurate flat-pattern DXFs, and detailed drawings that call out tolerances, bend notes and hole tables. Final STEP and STL exports must open error-free in our downstream manufacturing software.
Deliverables
• .f3d model with editable parameters
• FEA Analysis with static and dynamic loads considered.
• 1:1 DXF flat patterns per part
• Production drawings (PDF) with full GD&T
• STEP/STL/IGES files for supplier hand-off
• Key dimensions and mounting interfaces
Acceptance criteria
• Model regenerates without errors when key parameters change
• Flat patterns match the 3D model within ±0.2 mm
• All critical interfaces align to spec on a print review
First drafts are needed within two weeks after project initiation (series work is ok, parallel work on both projects not required), with a further week for revisions after feedback. If you have stamped-metal automotive work in your portfolio, links or screenshots will help me gauge fit quickly. I welcome any DFM suggestions that reduce tooling cost or cycle time while you work.
Proposals should be initially state an hourly rate and once initial screening is completed additional details will be shared and proposal converted to a fixed price proposal.
