Create DXF for Metal Figurative Sculpture
Budget: $250 – $750 NZD
I have designed a figurative sculpture that will be fabricated in metal and stand at a finished height of 1.2 m. I need a clean, fabrication-ready DXF file that captures the contours and details accurately so my metalworker can take it straight to laser or water-jet cutting without extra edits.
You will receive my hand sketches and reference photos; from these, please generate the exact outlines, internal cut-outs, and any locating holes we decide are necessary for assembly and mounting. All geometry must be properly scaled to the 1.2 m overall height and laid out on standard sheet sizes so the fabricator can nest the parts efficiently.
Deliverables
• One fully layered DXF file in millimetres, ready for import into common CAM software
• A low-res PDF or PNG preview so I can check proportions before we send it to the shop
Accuracy is critical, so I’ll review the preview first, request any tweaks, and then sign off on the final DXF. If you work in AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar, that’s a plus, but the only file I ultimately need is the DXF.
