Convert Drawing to 3D Prototype Model
Budget: $30 – $50 USD
I have a photo (see attachment) of a mechanical part that I want to turn into a printable prototype. The photo shows overall dimensions and the key features, but it is still quite rough, so the first step is translating it into a clean, moderately detailed 3D model. I don’t need every microscopic fillet, yet the file must be accurate enough for a test print that will check fit and basic function.
You are free to use SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Blender, or any comparable CAD package as long as the final geometry is watertight and exportable for FDM printing.
Deliverables
• Editable source file (e.g., .sldprt, .f3d, or .blend)
• Final print-ready file for Bambu Lab P1S printer
• A quick screenshot or viewport render that shows the part from multiple angles
Acceptance criteria
The part’s critical dimensions must stay within ±0.1 mm of the values in my sketch, and the mesh must pass basic slicing software checks without repair.
Once I approve the model, the job is done and you can hand over the files so I can move straight to printing the prototype.
