Complete Consumer Product CAD Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I already have a solid CAD model of my consumer product, but it was built for a slightly different purpose. I now need it refined so the geometry, tolerances and internal layout support a brand-new feature set. The core shape and intent stay the same—your job is to integrate the new functionality, validate that everything fits and operates as intended, and supply files that any manufacturer can pick up without extra cleanup.
You will receive the current CAD files (STEP + native format). From there I expect you to:
• Add the new feature mechanically and confirm clearances, wall thickness, draft angles and fastening points.
• Run basic interference and motion checks so nothing clashes.
• Produce production-ready output: updated native files, a neutral STEP, and 2-D drawings with critical dimensions, tolerances and notes.
Throughout the process I need quick, clear communication: screen-share reviews, fast answers to questions and the flexibility for a few rounds of tweaks until the design is truly ready. When we’re done, I hold full rights to every file so I can edit or hand them directly to suppliers.
If you’re comfortable iterating in Fusion 360, SolidWorks or similar and have taken consumer products from concept to tooling before, let’s talk.
