Automated Guitar CAD Model Generation

Job ID: 40416282

Budget: $8 – $15 CAD

I need a repeatable way to produce high-detail CAD models of guitars—every nut, fret, cavity, and screw accounted for. The scope is large: up to 5,000 unique variations that must be generated quickly and remain 100 % accurate to the specified dimensions.

My ideal workflow combines traditional parametric modelling with an AI or script-driven system that can take inputs such as scale length, body style, pickup layout, and instantly output a ready-to-manufacture model. If you already have macros, design tables, or generative design scripts in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or a similar platform, that’s exactly the kind of solution I’m after.

Deliverables
• A master parametric template (or set of templates) capable of handling the full range of body shapes and hardware options.
• An automated method—macro, API script, or AI routine—that accepts variation parameters and exports the finished CAD file in industry-standard formats (STEP, IGES, native file).
• A brief usage guide so my team can run new variations internally without additional coding.

Acceptance criteria
1. Entering a new parameter set produces a complete, fully constrained model with no rebuild errors.
2. All major components (neck pocket, truss-rod channel, electronics cavities, bridge holes) match the input dimensions within ±0.05 mm.
3. File naming and folder structure are generated consistently for batch runs.

If this sounds like a challenge you can tackle, tell me which platform you’d leverage and how you’d approach the automation piece.
