Light Sanding for Pine Kids Furniture

Job ID: 40241455

Budget: $30 – $250 AUD

I have just finished building some children’s furniture in solid pine—more than seven pieces in total—and every item now needs a careful, light sanding before the finish goes on. The goal is to knock down any splinters, smooth the edges, and leave each surface uniformly ready for primer or clear coat without removing too much material or changing the profiles I’ve already shaped.

You’ll be working with brand-new, clean wood, so this is strictly a fine-grit job (think 180–220). An orbital sander is welcome for the broad faces.
Please bring your own sanding equipment and abrasives as well as a way to control or collect dust while you work, we do have a vaccum

Deliverable:
• All pieces—tops, sides, undersides, and edges—feel smooth to the touch and pass a quick glove test with no raised grain or splinters.
• Surfaces stay flat; contours remain true, with no visible swirl marks or deep scratches.
• Furniture returned wiped clean and ready for finishing.

If you have experience prepping pine furniture—or any tips for achieving a flawless, paint-ready surface—let me know. I’m ready to schedule as soon as you are.
