Fusion Indian Restaurant Design for College Project

I’m working on a college assignment that requires a full interior-design package for a small Indian restaurant. The concept must blend traditional accents with a contemporary edge—think a fusion look where vibrant Indian colour stories and characteristic furniture silhouettes sit comfortably inside a modern, uncluttered shell.

Scope of work
• Basic client brief and overall concept narrative that clearly explains how the fusion idea guides every decision.
• A bubble diagram mapping guest flow, service zones, kitchen access and back-of-house circulation.
• Furniture layout that mixes individual two- and four-tops with a few larger communal tables; spacing should satisfy current restaurant guidelines for comfort and accessibility.
• Flooring plan that pairs low-maintenance surface finishes with subtle pattern cues from classic Indian textiles.
• Ceiling plan showing feature elements—perhaps timber fins or suspended metal jaali panels—and integrated services.
• Basic electrical layout: power points, lighting circuits, emergency lighting and switchboard locations.
• Internal detailing package:
– Mood board illustrating the chosen colour scheme (rich saffron, deep indigo, burnished metallics) and key materials.
– Two elevations capturing the primary dining wall and service counter.
– One fully rendered 3D view of the dining area that demonstrates the fusion theme, colour palette and mixed seating strategy.

Delivery format
CAD drawings in DWG or PDF, and a concise written rationale (max 500 words) that ties every drawing back to the fusion concept and highlights how colour scheme and furniture style celebrate Indian roots without losing modern simplicity.

I’ll review for coherence between concept, plans and visuals, logical circulation, correct technical drafting conventions, and faithful use of the colour-and-furniture focus noted above.
