Danish designed home desk solution
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
We are looking for a Danish furniture designer, possibly even a final year student or someone at the start of their career, to work with us to design a range of 3 items: a height-adjustable wooden desk, a height-adjustable laptop stand and a matching pedestal of drawers.
The desk and pedestal will be manufactured in Asia from the most sustainable wood source available and the height-adjustable laptop stand may require the use of metal or another non wood material.
Back, neck and shoulder pain is very common among older professional people everywhere in the world and it is amazing how few beautifully designed height-adjustable solutions there are on the market, a solution that would at home in the living room, study or bedroom of a professional person who loves and appreciates good design.
Our designer must be someone living and working in Denmark and be able to demonstrate a portfolio of excellent furniture designs in wood.
Our design requirements are rooted in the typical characteristics for which Danish furniture design are best know: a creative use of wood where the beauty of the object emerges from the purity of its function.
We have some initial design ideas but need the help of a good Danish furniture designer to refine and create final designs of the 3 items in our range for the chosen manufacturer.
For branding reasons, we cannot accept applications from anyone not living in Denmark while working on this project. Ideally we are looking for a Danish designer living in Denmark currently.
