Raise $20M for Veteran's Service Dogs
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 USD
I need to secure at least twenty million dollars so my team of five certified service-dog trainers can place 473 fully trained dogs with North Carolina veterans and then expand the program outward from our South Carolina base. Each dog costs about $35 k to raise and train, and for too long those costs have come straight from the trainers’ personal bank accounts. It’s time to build a sustainable, national-level funding engine.
What I’m looking for is hands-on fundraising muscle—people who don’t just outline strategies but actually bring in the money. Government, nonprofit, and corporate grants are all on the table. I also want a compelling crowdfunding presence and strategic corporate sponsorships that align with veteran causes. Although our roots are in the Carolinas, the reach must be nationwide.
Scope of work
• Develop a comprehensive fundraising roadmap with realistic milestones leading to the $20 m goal.
• Identify, write, and submit every grant for which we qualify, tracking deadlines and requirements.
• Launch and manage at least one high-visibility crowdfunding campaign (Classy, GoFundMe Charity, or similar).
• Secure corporate sponsorships—cash or in-kind—from veteran-friendly national brands.
• Provide clear reporting that my board and I can follow at a glance.
Success criteria
• Actual dollars raised or contractually committed.
• A diversified funding pipeline that can sustain growth beyond the first 473 dogs.
• Transparent, timely progress updates.
I will supply program data, impact stories, trainer bios, budgets, 501(c)(3) documentation, and anything else you need. If you’ve delivered seven- or eight-figure results for nonprofits—especially in the veteran or animal-assistance arena—let’s get to work and put these life-changing service dogs in the hands of those who have served us.
