Fundraising for Journalism Nonprofit

Job ID: 39201569

Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD

We're seeking a seasoned fundraiser to help our nonprofit, which is dedicated to saving journalism and democracy from toxic partisanship.

We aren't liberal or conservative -- we are nonpartisan and seek to get Americans talking again.

We want to promote civil dialogue intended to make America a better country. Everyone is welcome to participate.

We are part journalism, part think tank and part leadership development. Young Americans play a big role in this.

We seek to secure financial support from concerned donors (private individuals). We run a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations are tax-deductible.

If you know of grant makers our foundations in this space, you will be encouraged to try, but we think finding interested individuals will be easier.

We can only pay a 10% success fee (no retainers), but we can send leads your way.

- Campaign Focus: The fundraising will primarily target individuals who care about the current state of journalism and democracy.

There are lots of wealthy individuals who contribute to political causes. Unless they are highly partisan, we think they will like our cause.

- Content Creation: We produce opinion pieces, policy proposals, podcasts and more intended to engage our audience and interested donors. We can supply text and graphics to support your efforts.

- Distribution Channels: Our regular content is disseminated across our website, social media, newsletters, and podcasts.

Ideal candidates will have a background in fundraising, preferably in the nonprofit, journalism "save democracy" sectors. Political fundraisers are welcome, too.
