Fundraising Producer for a series of short films paid Work
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Fundraiser Producer to support the financing and long-term sustainability of an ongoing short film series. This role is ideal for a producer with a strong understanding of independent film financing, grant writing, sponsorship outreach, and crowdfunding strategies. The Fundraiser Producer will play a critical role in securing financial resources that directly enable production, ensuring that all work on the project is professionally compensated once funds are secured.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies for individual short films and the broader series
Identify, research, and pursue funding opportunities including grants, private investors, sponsorships, brand partnerships, and crowdfunding platforms
Prepare and oversee fundraising materials such as pitch decks, budgets, proposals, sponsorship packages, and campaign narratives
Coordinate closely with the creative producer(s), director(s), and production team to align fundraising goals with creative and production needs
Manage relationships with funders, donors, sponsors, and partners, ensuring professional communication and follow-through
Track fundraising progress, maintain accurate financial records related to raised funds, and report regularly to the production team
Support long-term financing strategies to sustain the short film series across multiple projects
Qualifications
Proven experience in fundraising, producing, or film financing (short films, independent features, or digital content preferred)
Strong understanding of independent film budgets, production workflows, and financing structures
Demonstrated success with crowdfunding platforms, grants, sponsorships, or private fundraising initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to pitch creatively and professionally
Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple fundraising efforts simultaneously
Passion for independent filmmaking and storytelling
Compensation
This is a paid role, with compensation structured to be drawn from successfully raised funds. Payment terms, rates, and schedules will be clearly defined in a formal agreement prior to the commencement of fundraising activities. As an ongoing series, this role offers the opportunity for continued, long-term collaboration across multiple short film projects as funding is secured.
