The Role
We are hiring a Full Stack Software Developer to build and ship AI-driven fintech products under the direct technical and product direction of the Principal & CIO. The flagship project is— a real-time, 24/7 AI tutor and trading co-pilot built on the Claude API, integrating our proprietary curriculum, market data, and quantitative research into a subscription product.
This is a hands-on builder role. You will work the codebase end to end — backend, frontend, integrations, and deployment — and work in short, fast iteration cycles with the Principal who reviews work directly.
What You Will Build
A production LLM application on the Claude API / Agent SDK — streaming chat interface, retrieval over proprietary curriculum content, tool use against live market data feeds, per-user conversation memory, model tiering, and prompt caching for cost control
Billing and metering: Subscription billing (Stripe or equivalent), usage metering, tier enforcement, and fair-use limits
Platform integrations: Connections into our existing web platform, CRM, trading data services, and white-label partner APIs
Compliance-aware infrastructure: Output logging, disclaimer enforcement, guardrails, and audit trails suitable for a regulated financial services environment
Responsibilities
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack web applications from specification to production
Implement LLM-powered features: prompt architecture, RAG pipelines, tool/function calling, streaming responses, and token-cost optimization
Integrate third-party APIs: AI model providers, market data, payments, banking/brokerage rails, and partner platforms
Build secure authentication, user management, and per-user data isolation
Instrument the product: usage analytics, per-user unit-cost tracking, error monitoring, and uptime alerting
Maintain clean, documented, version-controlled code with a deployment pipeline the founder can review
Participate in rapid iteration: scoped weekly deliverables, direct feedback loops, and demo-driven progress reviews
Flag technical risk, cost drift, and scope tradeoffs early and in writing
Required Qualifications
4+ years of professional full-stack development experience with shipped production applications
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (React or similar)
Strong backend experience in Node.js or Python, including REST API design, databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and authentication
Hands-on experience building on LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar): prompt design, streaming, tool use, and embeddings/RAG
Experience integrating payments (Stripe or equivalent) and at least one non-trivial third-party API
Cloud deployment experience (AWS, GCP, Vercel, or similar), including CI/CD
Excellent written communication; able to work asynchronously and document decisions
Working-hours overlap with UTC+8 (Asia-Pacific time zone or flexible schedule)
Preferred Qualifications
Fintech or trading-platform experience: market data feeds, brokerage/banking APIs (Alpaca, DriveWealth, Unit, Plaid, or similar), or exchange integrations
Familiarity with financial services compliance concepts (audit logging, KYC flows, disclosure requirements)
Experience with the Anthropic Agent SDK, MCP, or agentic tool-use architectures
Experience with WebSockets/real-time streaming interfaces and charting libraries
Prior work in a founder-led startup or as an early technical hire
Working Style
