Wine & Food Menu Analysis Web Application
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
We're looking for a skilled full-stack developer to build a web application called Wine Analyzer. This platform will help sales representatives in the wine industry analyze restaurant menus and recommend suitable wines from a vendor database. The project involves building a user-friendly interface with two distinct user roles: Salesman and Admin.
Key Features and Requirements
Salesman Workflow:
-User Registration & Dashboard: Salesmen will be able to register, log in, and view a personalized dashboard displaying their contact information.
-Restaurant Menu Upload: The core function for salesmen is uploading restaurant menus. They should be able to upload images of both wine and food menus. The system must capture the restaurant's name and location during the upload process.
-AI-Powered Analysis: The application will use an AI to process uploaded menus. For wine menus, the AI needs to extract key details like the
wine name, type, grape, country, and price per bottle/glass.
-Wine Recommendation: For food menus, the AI will recommend wines from a master vendor database managed by the admin. This feature is critical for providing value to the salesmen.
-Data Management: Salesmen must have the ability to view and edit the data extracted from their uploads, allowing for re-analysis. The results of the food analysis should be downloadable as a PDF, which will include the salesman's details, but these results will not be stored in the database.
Admin Workflow:
-Comprehensive Dashboard: Admins will have a dashboard that provides a high-level overview of all uploaded restaurants. This dashboard should include charts and data grouped by wine type.
-User & Data Management: Admins require full CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) capabilities to manage user accounts and all uploaded data.
-Vendor List Management: A key admin feature is the ability to bulk upload vendor wine lists. This list will serve as the master catalog for all wine recommendations and analyses. The list should include the wine's name, type, grape, country, cost price, and vendor name.
-Advanced Analytics: Admins need to access advanced analytics and reports. This includes comparing vendor costs with restaurant prices, calculating profit margins by region or wine type, and identifying the most popular vendor wines in specific locations.
Technical Details:
The project's database schema is provided and should be followed closely. The schema includes tables for
users (which handles both salesmen and admins) ,
restaurants ,
uploads ,
wines ,
vendor_list_items ,
menu_items , and
analyses.
The front-end should be responsive and user-friendly, while the back-end needs to be robust enough to handle file uploads, database interactions, and integration with an AI service for menu analysis. We're open to suggestions on the technology stack, but a modern framework (e.g., React for the front-end, Node.js/Python for the back-end) would be preferred.
Multi-User & Subscription Capability: The application should be built with the possibility of future expansion to a multi-user, subscription-based model. This means the architecture should be scalable, allowing for the addition of features like separate company accounts and subscription tiers (e.g., limits on the number of uploads or access to specific analytics). The database schema should be designed to accommodate a company or team table and link users to it.
We need a developer who can handle the entire project from start to finish, including front-end, back-end, and database implementation. Please provide a brief overview of your experience with similar projects and the tech stack you recommend.
