Social Networking Web App Build

I need a full-stack developer to create a web application whose core purpose is social networking. The platform should let users register, build profiles, share posts (text, images, short video), follow or friend others, like / comment, and receive real-time notifications. A direct-message or small group chat module is also required so conversations happen inside the site rather than through third-party tools.

Clean, responsive UI is important; the app must work smoothly on desktop and mobile browsers. I’m open on the exact stack—React, Vue, Angular on the front end and Node, Django, or another proven back-end framework are all acceptable—as long as you follow modern best practices, keep the code well-documented, and structure it for easy future feature additions.

Key deliverables
• Fully functional social networking web app deployed to a staging server I can test
• Source code in a private repository, with clear setup instructions and read-me
• Basic unit and integration tests covering critical user flows
• Brief hand-off session (video or written walkthrough) so I can maintain and extend the project

Acceptance criteria
• Seamless sign-up/sign-in flow (email or social login)
• Ability to create, edit, delete posts and comments
• Real-time updates for likes, comments, and chat using WebSocket or similar technology
• GDPR-compliant data handling and an admin panel for user/content moderation
• Page load times under two seconds for main feeds on a standard broadband connection
