Senior React/Node Maintenance Developer

Our product is live, under active iteration, and we now need an accomplished full-stack engineer to take ownership of the day-to-day care and improvement of the existing React + Node.js codebase. I’m looking for someone with at least five years of hands-on experience who can step into an ongoing development cycle, quickly understand the current architecture, and keep the platform stable while we continue to roll out new features.

Your core mandate is maintenance: triaging and fixing bugs, refactoring fragile sections, tightening security, and smoothing performance bottlenecks before they become user-visible issues. I’ll rely on you to review pull requests, guide junior developers, and ensure deployments run cleanly through our CI/CD pipeline. If you have worked with blockchain integrations, that insight will come in handy for a couple of modules on our roadmap, though it’s not a strict requirement.

Deliverables I’ll use to gauge success:
• A steady reduction in open maintenance tickets each sprint
• Clear, well-documented pull requests merged into the main branch without rollback incidents
• Measurable performance gains (lower API response times, reduced front-end bundle size) verified through our monitoring dashboards

The role is fully remote and can be structured as full-time contractor hours. Time-zone overlap for daily stand-ups is flexible, as long as communication remains responsive and progress remains visible in GitHub and Slack.
