Senior Full-Stack Engineer Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Platform Team)
Company Overview
At Aether Nexus, we are building the next generation of cloud-native collaboration tools for distributed engineering teams. Our core platform processes millions of real-time events daily, enabling seamless, low-latency sync between design systems and production code. We are a fast-growing, remote-first team backed by top-tier venture capital, and we value clean architecture, high test coverage, and developers who love taking ownership of features from conception to deployment.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our Platform Team. In this role, you will be responsible for scaling our core data pipelines, building highly interactive user interfaces, and ensuring our services remain resilient under heavy concurrent load. You will split your time between architecting robust backend services and crafting polished, accessible frontend experiences.
What You’ll Do
Architect & Scale: Design and maintain reliable, high-throughput microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
Frontend Performance: Optimize complex, state-heavy web applications for maximum rendering efficiency and smooth user interactions.
Database Optimization: Write, tune, and profile relational database queries and manage distributed caching layers to eliminate bottlenecks.
Technical Leadership: Set code quality benchmarks through rigorous code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and championing comprehensive testing.
AI-Assisted Velocity: Operate within modern, high-speed development workflows (utilizing tools like Cursor or Copilot) to accelerate delivery without compromising architectural integrity.
Requirements (Must Have)
5+ years of experience in professional software development building and scaling production web applications.
Backend Expertise: Deep proficiency in type-safe languages (e.g., Go, TypeScript/Node.js, or C#) with a strong understanding of concurrency patterns and async programming.
Frontend Mastery: Advanced knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (specifically React, Next.js, or Vue), state management, and component architecture.
Data Layer: Strong hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and key-value stores (Redis) for caching and session management.
Testing Culture: A proven track record of writing clean, maintainable code backed by robust unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
Nice to Have
Experience with real-time streaming protocols (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, or WebTransport).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience migrating monolithic legacy stacks into modern, decoupled web architectures.
Benefits & Compensation
Competitive Salary: $130,000 – $165,000 USD base salary (plus meaningful early-stage equity).
Remote Freedom: Flexible working hours with a fully remote configuration.
Gear Stipend: $3,000 home-office stipend to purchase the hardware and ergonomic setups of your choice.
Growth Budget: $2,000 annual learning and development stipend for courses, books, or conferences.
Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with unlimited paid time off (PTO).
