Senior Full-Stack Developer for Faith-Based Digital Publishing Platform
Budget: $25 – $50 AUD
Build Holy Protocol: a faith-based digital publishing and community platform for sharing Christian witness accounts and legacy stories.
Create a secure, user-friendly website with a clean, modern design and future scalability in mind.
Support people sharing testimonies, browsing archives, and interacting.
Responsibilities:
Develop entire platform from the ground up — both front end and back end.
Design and implement secure user accounts, content submission forms, moderation workflows, and search/browse features.
Advise on and set up the best tech stack for performance, security, and scale.
Ensure data privacy and safe storage of user-generated content such as videos and text.
Delegate tasks to junior/co web-developers
Build a responsive front end in line with our calm, faith-inspired visual style.
Document code clearly for future devs; keep architecture modular and maintainable.
Provide ongoing input to improve UX and add features as the community grows.
Help with staging environments, backup systems, and version control.
Recommend integrations (e.g., donations, membership, newsletter sign-ups) for phase two.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
Senior-level full-stack dev experience — ideally with large-scale community or publishing sites.
Strong front and backend web design.
User authentication and security best practices.
Familiarity with accessible design and privacy compliance.
Good communication — can explain technical options in simple terms.
Nice to have: experience working with faith-based or values-driven projects.
What We Value:
Collaborative mindset — open to ideas and invested in the mission.
Future-proof builds — easy to hand over or expand with other devs.
Professional pride — clear documentation, clean code, honest feedback.
Respect for our vision to create a evergreen space for sharing testimonies.
