Seeking Flexible Full Stack Developers for Exciting POC Projects
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
About Us
We're gearing up for a major product launch in late 2025. As part of our preparation, we will be running multiple Proofs of Concept (POCs) to test various technologies and concepts. To support this, we're seeking several Full Stack Developers who are interested in contributing on a part-time basis.
We're not looking to expand our full-time team (it's already quite large!). Instead, we need developers who have spare time and want to be part of some truly interesting and diverse technical explorations.
What We Are Looking For
We need Full Stack Developers with experience in some of the following areas. You don't need to be an expert in all of these; if you're great at a subset, that's just fine. We have lots of POCs to work on!
Backend Development
Directus
Node.js
JavaScript/TypeScript
SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite)
API Development
REST API concepts and implementation
GraphQL knowledge
API security best practices
Frontend Development
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, Angular, or Express
Database Design
Data modeling and schema design
DevOps and Deployment
Basic server administration (Linux)
Docker knowledge
Security
Web application security best practices
Authentication and authorization concepts
API Consumption
Experience working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs
What You’ll Be Doing
1, Research & Report Writing: Research topics related to the above technologies and write simple, practical reports. You don't need to be an expert writer—just enough to document ideas clearly for future development steps.
2, Build POCs: Develop various smaller POCs based on the research you've conducted. This is where you get to play with new tech and test innovative concepts.
3, Document What You Build: Create documentation around the POCs you've developed.
Additional Requirements
- Color Requirement: To help us filter out spam responses, please start your response with the name of a color. Applications without this will not be considered. Thanks for understanding!
- Remote Access: You should be comfortable logging in to a remote computer and working there sometimes, as you may need to work directly within our environment.
- NDA & KYC: You must be okay with signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). This also means you need to be comfortable with us performing a Know Your Customer (KYC) process, which will include providing passport copies, proof of address, etc.
Salary
At this point, we are looking for full-stack developers with the lowest rates (there is logic in the madness). So, this is probably not for you if you are a full-stack developer with 20 years of experience.
Who We're Looking For
If this sounds like something you’d love to be a part of, we’d like to know the following:
- About You: Who are you, what have you done in the past, and why do you think you'd be a good fit?
- Availability: How much time can you devote to these projects?
- Your Rate: What’s your hourly rate?
- Language Proficiency: What is your English level?
- Your Strengths: What front-end language and back-end language are you strongest in?
- Experience with Directus: Have you worked with Directus before?
- Skill Summary: Provide a summary of your experience in each of the areas listed under "What We Are Looking For" (it's perfectly okay if you don't cover everything!).
Next Steps
-After we receive responses, candidates who fulfil our requirements will be invited for a 10-minute presentation. During this call, we expect you to introduce yourself and explain why you would be a good fit. This is a presentation, not a Q&A session, so please prepare accordingly. If you have any burning questions, feel free to ask them via chat on Freelancer beforehand.
-After the presentation, we will move forward with candidates who made a strong impression and invite them to an open call where both sides can ask further questions.
If you have some spare time and would love to work on innovative POCs, we'd be thrilled to have you on board.
