Run Replit App Locally
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I have a full-stack web application with its own database that currently lives and runs inside Replit. The stack is JavaScript-based, and the app is used for automation purposes, so every route, background job, and database interaction has to behave exactly as it does online.
What I need now is clear, hands-on guidance that lets me recreate the entire Replit environment on my Windows desktop PC and run the project locally:
• You will walk me through installing the right Node.js version, cloning or exporting the Replit repo, installing npm dependencies, configuring environment variables, and setting up the database so migrations and seed data work.
• I expect practical explanations of any Replit-specific services (e.g., built-in secrets manager, hosted databases, special start scripts) and how to replace or emulate them on my machine.
• Once everything is in place, we’ll verify that the local server starts without errors, the database connects, and the automation features execute as expected.
Deliverables:
1. A live screen-share or step-by-step written guide that gets me from zero to a working local instance.
2. Any helper scripts or config files you create along the way.
3. A brief checklist I can reuse whenever I need to reinstall.
If you’ve migrated Replit apps before—especially full-stack JavaScript projects with databases—this should be straightforward. Let’s get my automation app running locally.
