Internal Web System Development

Job ID: 40374590

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

I need a full-stack developer to build a secure, browser-based application that will be used daily by both employees and managers. The system should centralise our internal workflows, present different dashboards and permissions for the two user groups, and be robust enough to grow as new modules are added.

Here’s what I have in mind:
• Authentication and role-based access so staff and management each see the tools meant for them.
• A clean, responsive UI that works on desktops, tablets, and phones.
• A well-structured database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) with clear, documented schema.
• An API layer—RESTful or GraphQL—that makes future integrations straightforward.
• Source-controlled, well-commented code (Git) plus a short deployment guide so I can move the app from staging to production without surprises.

Tech stack is flexible, but I’m leaning toward React or Vue on the front-end and Node.js, Django, or Laravel on the back-end; suggest what you feel delivers speed, security, and maintainability.

Acceptance criteria:
1. Login, logout, and forgotten-password flows work for both roles.
2. Each role lands on its correct dashboard and cannot access the other’s restricted pages.
3. Core pages load in under two seconds on a typical office connection.
4. All code passes automated linting and basic unit tests before hand-off.

I’ll provide brand guidelines and work with you to finalise the first feature set; please include examples of similar internal tools you’ve delivered and outline your preferred stack and timeline.
