Full-Stack Social Network Web App
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I need a full-stack specialist to take a social-networking concept from idea to a live, browser-based product. The project covers both front-end and back-end work: designing the database schema, building secure REST/GraphQL APIs, crafting an interactive, responsive interface, and wiring everything together so real-time interactions feel instant for the user.
Core functions include user sign-up/login, profile management, friend/follow mechanics, a dynamic feed, messaging, media uploads, notifications, and an admin panel. I’m open on tech choices, though modern stacks such as React or Vue on the front end and Node.js/Express, Django, or a comparable framework on the back end make the most sense. Whichever stack you recommend, clean code, unit tests, and clear documentation are mandatory so future iterations remain painless.
Deliverables
• MVP deployed to a cloud host (AWS, GCP, or similar)
• Source code in a private Git repository with commit history
• Brief README explaining setup, environment variables, and build steps
• Basic test suite proving authentication, feed posting, and messaging all work
• Post-deployment walkthrough so I can run and scale the app myself
Acceptance criteria
• Loads quickly and responsively in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari
• All routes are protected against common security flaws (OWASP Top 10)
• Real-time features function with negligible lag under typical load
• Code passes linting/tests and ships with no critical errors in the console
If questions arise about scope or tooling, feel free to propose alternatives—clarity now will save time later.
