Role Overview

We're seeking a Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Developer to enhance and maintain our internal platforms. Your primary goal will be to develop and optimize tools that streamline operational and administrative processes, ensuring a seamless experience for clients, editors, and our internal team.

- This is a remote, contract (work from home) position with fixed monthly compensation and paid time off.
- We are open to both full-time and part-time commitments, depending on the candidate's experience and availability.
- Candidates must be able to provide at least 3-4 hours of working overlap with US Central Time.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
- Develop and maintain features across the full stack (frontend and backend).
- Optimize performance and ensure reliability of existing software systems.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
- Perform thorough testing, debugging, and deployment of software.
- Collect and analyze user feedback to continuously improve platform functionality.
- Provide technical support, bug fixes, and implement enhancements.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to improve system architecture and performance.

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is required
- 3-4 hours of working overlap with US Central Time is required
- Proven experience as a full-stack developer with Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frameworks like React or Vue.js).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Familiarity with version control (Git), testing frameworks, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
