Onsite Full Stack Developer – Melbourne 3910

We are seeking an experienced full stack developer with strong Ubuntu Linux and some AWS expertise to work onsite in Melbourne (3910).

We are a small, family-owned business that provides industrial companies with production monitoring software and hardware designed to track and improve the efficiency of their machinery. Following the recent passing of our lead developer, we require assistance to preserve his work, understand the existing setup, and ensure nothing is lost.

Role Overview
You will be working directly on a Linux desktop environment. Your role is to:
- Help us understand what the current applications do.
- Save and secure work in progress.
- Locate and organise project files.
- Ensure the existing work is preserved, and properly mapped out locations for future development.

Responsibilities
1. Safely save, close, and relaunch the following applications:
- MySQL Workbench
- Qt Creator
- Sublime Merge
- Sublime Text / Geany
- FileZilla
- Meld

2. Provide clear, simple explanations of the purpose of these applications to a non-technical team, including how they fit into the broader software development process.

Requirements
- Strong experience with Ubuntu Linux and some AWS.
- Proficiency in the following languages: C++, PHP, JavaScript, SQL (MySQL).
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a non-technical team.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must have an ABN (contractor position).
- NDA required.
- Onsite only – no remote work.
