Full-Stack Developer

Small, product-driven team need a versatile engineer who can stay with us for minimum twenty hours a week or more over the coming year (with the option to keep going if all goes well). Most of your time will go into building and refining web-based features written in Python on the back end and React on the front, but the mandate is broader: you’ll also review pull requests, harden security, refine build pipelines, and generally keep an eye on the long-term code health of the product.
Technical Generalist / Full-Stack Developer (Part-Time – 1 Year Contract)
Reasonably stable working hours
Availability for communication during agreed time windows
1–2 weekly meetings (~1 hour each)

Role Overview
We are looking for a technical Full'stack developer to support a growing small product-driven environment.
This role involves:
Developing specific application modules
Reviewing and improving existing code
Ensuring sound technical decisions and best practices
Strengthening application security
This is not just an execution role. The ideal candidate should take ownership of the technical quality of the product and proactively address areas that may otherwise be overlooked.

Technical Experience
Experience with Python, React (nice to have), React Flow (nice to have)
VS Code Environment
Experience Working with databases
Understanding securing web applications
Practical use of AI tools for development (Copilot, GPT, Claude, etc.)
Security Responsibilities (Important)

Ability to:
Identify vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10
Review authentication and authorization flows
Ensure protection against: SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF


Nice to Have
Basic DevOps knowledge (deployments, CI/CD, version control workflows)
Experience with testing (unit and integration tests)
Structured code review practices
Ability to create technical documentation
