Full-Stack Dev for Motor Claim Management Platform (ai responses will be rejected, competent only)

Job ID: 40602648

Budget: £5,000 – £10,000 GBP

Motor Claims Management Platform — Full-Stack Developer / Development Team Needed
Project Overview

We're building a cloud-based platform to manage the full lifecycle of non-fault motor insurance claims — from first notification of loss through to litigation — alongside a fleet and hire vehicle management module. The platform replaces manual, email-driven processes with a structured system used daily by internal claims staff, with a lighter-touch portal for referral partners.

This is an MVP build with a clearly scoped-down initial version, and a well-documented full-scope roadmap for phase two. Full architecture documentation, data model, and requirements are ready to hand over — this isn't a vague brief, it's a fully specified build.

Tech Stack
Backend: .NET Core Web API
Frontend: React (or Angular — open to discussion)
Hosting: Microsoft Azure
Database: Azure SQL Database
File storage: Azure Blob Storage
Messaging/integration layer: Azure Service Bus + Azure Functions
Source control / CI-CD: Azure DevOps or GitHub
Mobile: a companion mobile app (React Native or PWA) for vehicle check-in/check-out in the field

All infrastructure, source code, and CI/CD live in our own Azure tenant and repository from day one.

What's In Scope for MVP

Claim journey — all 9 stages: FNOL → Triage → Financial Assessment → Live Claim → Outstanding Documents → Payment Pack Review → Sent to Third Party → Pre-Litigation → Live Litigation

Core platform capabilities:

Role-based authentication & authorization (multiple user roles: Claims Handler, Senior Reviewer, Admin, Rental Agent, external Partner)
A unified, tagged activity log per claim (emails, SMS, WhatsApp, calls, notes, generated documents) — one chronological timeline, not scattered tabs
Config-driven claim workflow (stages and transition rules stored as data, not hardcoded — so process changes don't require a code release)
Global audit logging, SOC 2 / GDPR-aligned security architecture
A public, login-less claim status tracker for end clients
A thin, dedicated Partner Dashboard (submit and track referred claims, view payout status) — deliberately minimal, not a second product
Fleet & hire vehicle management module (asset ledger, booking/allocation engine, utilisation analytics)
Document generation from templates (letters, notices) with conditional clause logic
Basic analytics dashboard (claims, fleet, financial)

Required integrations (MVP): DVLA (vehicle data), SendGrid (email), DocuSign/Adobe Sign (e-signature), Experian (credit data), Twilio (SMS, WhatsApp, voice calling + AI call summaries), Address lookup, Stripe (customer charging & invoicing — narrow scope, not general payment processing), OpenAI (document data extraction), and a document automation platform for letter generation.

Deferred to a later phase (already documented, not required for MVP): automated third-party recovery/repair dispatch integrations, external hire supplier integration, AI-based fraud/damage detection, penalty charge notice automation, and a few others — full list provided.

What We're Looking For
Proven experience with .NET Core, Azure (App Service, SQL, Blob Storage, Service Bus/Functions), and React or Angular
Comfortable working from a detailed specification (we have full architecture docs, a data model with core entities defined, a permission matrix, and integration-by-integration requirements ready to share)
Experience integrating third-party APIs (payment, e-signature, communications, credit data) is a strong plus
Able to work in phases: core claim workflow and the live-claim screen first (this is where the product lives day-to-day), then integrations, then hardening and handover
Deliverables
Working web application (+ mobile companion app for fleet check-in/out)
Full source code and ownership, in our own Azure/repo from the start
Standard technical documentation on handover (deployment runbook, API docs, database schema, environment setup guide)
How to Apply

Please share relevant experience with .NET Core + Azure + React/Angular builds, and similar claims/workflow/SaaS platforms if you have them. We'll share the full architecture and technical specification documents with shortlisted candidates.
