Full Backend Development with Supabase + Frontend Integration (Replace Mock Data)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are looking for an experienced backend developer to build the entire backend of a web project using Supabase as the backend platform — and to integrate it with the existing frontend, which currently uses mock data.
The developer will be responsible not only for setting up the backend (API, database, auth, business logic), but also for connecting the frontend to real data from the backend, replacing mock data with actual API calls.
Scope of Work:
Design and creation of database tables and relationships in Supabase.
Development of RESTful API endpoints (using Supabase Functions or compatible framework).
Implementation of a secure authentication system (signup, login, password recovery, token refresh, etc.).
Configuration of Row Level Security (RLS) and proper access permissions.
Integration with third-party APIs (if needed).
Implementation of all required business logic (we will provide documentation/flows).
Frontend integration: replace all mock data currently used in the frontend with real data coming from the backend.
Testing and full documentation of the backend and how to use the API.
Requirements:
Proven experience with Supabase.
Solid experience in REST API development and integration.
Knowledge of frontend/backend integration.
Strong understanding of API security (authentication, authorization, etc.).
Clean, organized, and well-documented code.
Strong communication and ability to provide frequent progress updates.
Nice to Have:
Experience with TypeScript.
Familiarity with Supabase Functions or serverless backend.
Experience integrating external APIs.
Deliverables:
Full backend implementation, with code versioned in a Git repository (access will be provided).
Fully functional and documented API (Swagger or equivalent).
Supabase database schema ready and populated with initial data.
Authentication and permissions configured and tested.
Frontend updated to consume real data from the backend, instead of mock data.
I've included a document with the integration details I believe are necessary, but there may be missing elements. It's important that the freelancer ensures the entire portal is fully functional, even if some requirements are not explicitly listed in the document.
