Project Overview
We’re looking for a full-stack developer or team to build a web and mobile application that manages field technicians, automates work orders, and generates standardized PDF reports.
The app will be used by environmental monitoring, civil engineering, and construction companies to streamline field operations — from dispatching technicians to collecting site photos, sampling data, and generating complete professional reports in PDF format.
User Roles & Features
1. Administrator (Dispatcher)
Full access to all data and settings
Create, edit, assign, close, and delete work orders
Manage user accounts and notifications
Approve or reject technician reports
Download/export standardized PDF reports
Track work order statuses (“In Progress,” “Submitted,” “Approved,” “Completed”)
Project Manager
Access only to assigned projects
View related work orders, reports, photos, and logs
Download complete PDF reports
Review history of completed sites
Technician (Mobile/Tablet Interface)
Receive new work orders via push notification
Access site details, address, Google Maps link, and instructions
Upload site photos and complete sampling logs
Fill visit reports and submit for validation
Use mobile/tablet (responsive UI for Android/iOS browsers)
Work Order Contents
Each work order includes:
Technician & Project Manager name
Job site address + Google Maps link
Job site type (Environmental, Soil sampling, Drilling, Trench, etc.)
Instructions (equipment, client contact, Trace Québec number)
Related PDFs (plans, certificates, etc.)
Visit report (free text)
Sampling log forms (auto-adjusted per site type)
Photo uploads (JPEG/PNG)
PDF Report Generation
Once a technician submits a report, the system automatically compiles a complete PDF containing:
Original work order
Visit report
Photos (with captions)
Sampling logs
Attached PDFs
Naming convention:
Report_[ProjectName]_[Date]_Technician.pdf
Availability:
Downloadable by Admin & Project Manager
Automatically archived in project history
