Custom Web Logistics Platform
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I need a full-stack team that can take my logistics concept from blueprint to a production-ready web application. The platform will serve two distinct roles—Customers and Service providers—and must also communicate seamlessly with an external logistics API.
Scope
• Build a responsive web app (desktop & mobile browser) with secure sign-up, sign-in, and role-based dashboards.
• Customers will handle Logistics tasks end-to-end: create a shipment request, upload required documents, and watch real-time status updates pulled from the third-party API.
• Service providers will receive those requests, update milestones, and trigger the same API calls so everyone sees identical tracking data.
• All data exchanges—both user-facing and API—must be encrypted in transit and at rest.
Core modules & deliverables
1. Customer portal with shipment creation wizard, document vault, and live tracking timeline.
2. Service-provider workspace for job acceptance, progress updates, and proof-of-delivery uploads.
3. Integration layer that authenticates to the logistics API, handles webhooks, and normalises responses for display.
4. Admin console for user management and audit logs.
5. Clean, well-commented code (preferably React / Vue + Node / Django, but I’m open), Dockerised for easy deployment, along with concise setup documentation.
Acceptance criteria
• End-to-end shipment flow completes without console or network errors.
• API responses surface in less than 3 s on a standard 4G connection.
• OWASP top-10 checks return no critical issues.
• All tests (unit + basic integration) pass in CI.
If your team has shipped comparable logistics or data-driven portals before, I’d like to see a brief demo or repo link with your proposal.
