E-Commerce Web App with Payments

I’m launching an online store and need a full-stack developer who can build the core web application and, most importantly, wire up a secure payment gateway from day one. The goal is a production-ready e-commerce platform where customers can browse items and check out smoothly with cards or digital wallets.

While the initial focus is the payment flow—PCI-compliant checkout, tokenised card storage, webhook-driven order confirmation—I’m open to your recommendations on the surrounding catalogue and cart logic if you think certain elements are necessary to test transactions end-to-end.

Preferred tools are modern and mainstream: something like React or Vue on the front end, Node, Laravel or Django on the back, and Stripe or PayPal for payments, but I’ll happily consider alternatives you’re comfortable with as long as they meet security standards and can scale.

Deliverables
• Web application codebase pushed to my private Git repo
• Integrated, fully tested payment gateway (sandbox + live keys)
• Brief deployment guide and environment variables template

Acceptance criteria
• A test transaction processes successfully in the live environment
• Transaction data is logged and retrievable from an admin endpoint
• No sensitive card data is stored on my server
