CTO for Game-Changing Ride-Hailing App, Zipo
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Title:
CTO / Senior Mobile App Developer Needed for Driver-First Ride-Hailing Startup (London)
Description:
We’re building Zipo, a driver-first ride-hailing platform launching in London that replaces commission with a simple monthly subscription, materially improving driver earnings and retention.
We’re looking for a hands-on CTO or senior full-stack/mobile engineer to own the technical build of our MVP and evolve into a long-term technical leader.
This is not a generic Uber clone — we are building a compliant, scalable platform in a highly regulated market.
What we need built (initial scope):
Rider app (iOS + Android or responsive web MVP)
Driver app with onboarding, subscription gating, job flow, earnings
Core backend (auth, trips, payments, status logic)
Admin panel for driver approval, compliance, and support
Map-based UX (or non-map driver view if cleaner for v1)
Subscription billing logic (£79.99/month, auto-renew, cancel anytime)
Tech flexibility:
Open to Flutter, React Native, or modern web + backend stack. Architecture decisions are part of the role.
What we’re looking for:
Strong experience building consumer mobile apps
Comfortable owning product + engineering decisions
Familiarity with real-time systems, payments, and state logic
Bonus: experience in mobility, marketplaces, or regulated products
Engagement:
Initial paid build (Freelancer contract)
Clear path to CTO role + equity for the right person
Founder-led, fast-moving startup with a defined launch plan
Please include:
Relevant app examples (live or GitHub)
Your proposed tech stack
Availability and expected compensation
We’re moving quickly and looking for someone who wants to build, not just ship tickets.
