About the Project
I'm looking for an experienced full-stack developer (or a small development team) who wants to build more than just another online marketplace. This project is deeply personal to me. My vision is to build something better.
I want to create the UK's most trusted platform for independent massage therapists, a platform that helps therapists build sustainable businesses while helping clients find skilled, professional, verified therapists they can confidently return to again and again. London will be our launch market before expanding to other UK cities.
What We Are Building
This is not simply a directory. It is a subscription-based business platform where therapists can:
- Create professional profiles
- Receive enquiries and bookings
- Manage availability
- Build long-term relationships with repeat clients
- Collect verified reviews
- Grow independent businesses as professionals
Clients will be able to:
- Search nearby therapists
- Filter by treatment type
- Book appointments easily
- Read verified reviews
- Rebook favourite therapists
- Find trusted professionals quickly
The long-term vision is to become the "Shopify + Airbnb" for independent massage therapists.
Initial MVP Features:
Therapist Dashboard:
- Secure registration
- Monthly subscription management
- Professional profile (qualifications, insurance information, portfolio/gallery, prices, mobile or clinic services, travel radius, treatment types)
- Calendar availability and analytics dashboard
Client Experience:
- Location search by postcode or treatment filters
- Verified therapist badges and reviews
- Online booking and rebooking options
Admin Dashboard:
- Therapist verification and subscription management
- User management, reports, content moderation, review management
Technical Expectations:
Please recommend the best modern technology stack. Possible examples include React / Next.js, Node.js, Laravel, PostgreSQL, Stripe subscriptions, cloud hosting with responsive mobile-first design. I'm open to recommendations if they improve scalability.
