Build a Website for Filmmakers and DI Colorists
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
Hi,
I am looking to hire a freelance web developer to create a website
tailored for filmmakers and DI colorists who uses softwares like DaVinci
Resolve. The website will have the following key features:
Reference Image Library: A large library of still images from films,
music videos, and advertisements, available for users to browse and
download for free. These images will be categorized by genre, color
palettes, lighting styles, and other relevant tags to help users find the
inspiration they need for their projects. I am planning to get all this
data from some other website.
Powergrade Marketplace: Users can purchase power grades and LUTs
that replicate the color grading of popular films or specific cinematic
looks. Suppose you are a colorist and you like the color palette of the
film Joker, you can browse different reference images from that film,
import those references in your software, and create the look from
scratch or you can click on the purchase powergrade button and all that
look development time and effort will be saved.
Image Preview Tool: A feature where users can upload their own still
images to the website and preview how a specific power grade will look
on their project before making a purchase. This tool should apply the
powergrade to the uploaded image in real time, giving users an
accurate preview of the final result.
User Accounts and Purchases: Users should be able to create accounts,
save their favorite images and powergrades, and manage their
purchases. Integration with payment gateways will be necessary for
seamless transactions.
Responsive Design: The website should be fully responsive, ensuring a
smooth experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
Scalability and Security: The website should be built to handle a
growing number of users and content, with strong security measures in
place to protect user data and content.
To begin with, I want the website to be built till the still library and
account creation feature. Then, I want to study which still images are
being downloaded the most and gaining popularity. With that data, I
will begin setting up the Powergrade marketplace.
I am planning to get the still library data from https://film-grab.com/
This is a free website but provides very less filters making it not so
helpful for the filmmakers. However, https://shotdeck.com/ is a paid
still images library that provides all the necessary filters and amazing UI
making it the best still library but paid. I want to provide the library for
free and make money by selling digital assets like powergrades.
The image preview feature should look like this
https://shorturl.at/ycr2A (Scroll Down) and on my website, the users
will be able to upload their own images as well and won’t have to rely
on the examples provided by the website only.
Please provide a proposal that includes your approach to building this
website, estimated timelines, cost, and any similar projects you have
worked on. I’m looking for a developer who can bring this vision to life
with high-quality design and functionality.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Pravit Gandhi
