Overview
We are building an MVP for a security operations management system for a security agency.
The system digitises core operational workflows including guard deployment, attendance tracking, incident reporting, and patrol verification using NFC checkpoints.
This is a real operational system used in physical security environments, not a simple CRUD application.
We are looking for a strong full-stack developer or small engineering team with experience in system architecture, backend design, and scalable application development.
IMPORTANT CONTEXT
This is an MVP that will later evolve into a larger platform. As such, we require:
clean system architecture
modular backend design
API-first approach
scalable database structure
separation of concerns
The MVP itself is intentionally simple but must be built correctly to allow future expansion.
PHASE 1 – CORE MVP SYSTEM
1. Workforce and Deployment System
Create and manage guard profiles
Create sites / locations
Assign guards to sites
Define shifts with start and end times
Guard classification:
Static (fixed site assignment)
Mobile (multi-site movement)
2. Attendance and Duty Tracking System
Start Duty (check-in)
End Duty (check-out)

Each NFC tag includes a QR code
QR code is used only for system setup:
registering checkpoint
mapping checkpoint to:

floor
location ID
QR code is not used for verification.
3. Patrol Route Engine
Define patrol routes per site
Track completed checkpoints
Detect missed checkpoints
Generate patrol compliance status
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Preferred stack:
Backend: Node.js (NestJS preferred) or FastAPI
Frontend: React for admin dashboard
Mobile: React Native for NFC functionality (preferred)
Database: PostgreSQL
ARCHITECTURE EXPECTATIONS
We expect the developer to design:
modular backend structure
clean REST API layer
scalable database schema
separation of business logic and data layers
future-ready architecture for expansion
