Box-Like Web App Build

Job ID: 39724608

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I’m planning to launch a secure, web-based application that offers the same core experience users expect from Box.com: create an account, sign in, and start storing or sharing files straight from the browser. From database design through front-end polish, I need a full-stack partner who can deliver a reliable MVP and guide the technical choices along the way.

The heart of the project is rock-solid user authentication (email/password, with room for social logins later) and a smooth file-management workflow. Once logged in, a user must be able to upload, organize, preview, download, and share files through an intuitive interface, all backed by a scalable storage layer. Security is non-negotiable—TLS everywhere, encrypted files at rest, and sensible permission levels so folders and links stay private unless explicitly shared.

I’m comfortable with any modern stack—React or Vue on the front end, Node/Express, Django, or a comparable framework on the back, storage on AWS S3, GCP, or Azure—but I’m open to your best recommendation as long as it keeps costs predictable and future-proof.

Deliverables
• Source code in a Git repo with clear build instructions
• Deployed MVP accessible via a public URL
• Brief hand-off document covering architecture, environment variables, and how to add new features

If you’ve built authentication flows or file-sharing portals before, let’s talk.
