Shopify Click & Collect request

Hi, I run a mobile butcher business using Shopify. Our store uses the Dawn theme, and we are likely on the Basic or Grow Shopify plan.

We need a simple, reliable Click & Collect system working by Monday.

How our business works

Customers can either:

1. Have their order delivered nationwide, or
2. Collect their order from one of our weekly mobile butcher locations.

Our collection options are:

* Thursday – Shrewsbury, Farmfoods
* Thursday – Wem Market
* Friday – Shrewsbury, Farmfoods
* Friday – Dawley High Street
* Saturday – Craven Arms, McCartney’s
* Saturday – Bayston Hill, The Beeches
* Sunday – Shrewsbury, Farmfoods

What we need

On the cart page before checkout, we would like customers to choose:

How would you like to receive your order?

* Nationwide delivery
* Collect from a Meat Auctions truck

When the customer chooses Collect from a Meat Auctions truck, a required dropdown should appear:

Choose your collection point

The dropdown should contain the seven collection options listed above.

The customer must not be able to proceed to checkout without selecting a collection point when Click & Collect is chosen.

Customers choosing nationwide delivery should not be required to select a collection point.

Order information

The chosen fulfilment method and collection point must:

* Be saved with the Shopify order.
* Be clearly visible in Shopify admin.
* Appear in the order details for our packing staff.
* Ideally appear in confirmation emails.
* Be easy for us to change later without editing complicated code.

Please also advise whether the selection can automatically add an order tag, for example:

* COLLECT-WEM-THURSDAY
* COLLECT-DAWLEY-FRIDAY
* DELIVERY

Important technical requirements

* Our live website must not be edited directly.
* Please build and test it on a duplicated/draft Dawn theme first.
* It must work properly on mobile phones.
* It must not interfere with nationwide delivery orders.
* It must work on Shopify Basic/Grow and must not rely on Shopify Plus checkout features.
* The information must remain attached to the order even after payment.
* Please test standard checkout and accelerated checkout buttons. If accelerated checkout could bypass the collection selection, please disable or safely handle those buttons.
* Please explain whether Shopify’s native “Pickup in store” option should be used alongside this system or whether a different setup is more reliable.
