Frontend Developer (On-Demand Employment)
We’re looking for a Frontend Developer to join us on an on-demand basis—someone passionate about turning ideas into intuitive, high-performance web experiences. You’ll be involved from the earliest design sketches to the final, polished product, working in small, agile teams alongside talented developers and designers.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining front-end features across a variety of projects. We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of performance, usability, and accessibility, and who is comfortable translating design systems and wireframes into functioning user interfaces.
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to solve problems and build innovative solutions. This is a hands-on role where your ideas and technical input will directly shape the final product.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and visually compelling user interfaces.
Transform design mockups, wireframes, and prototypes into high-quality front-end code.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product stakeholders to deliver seamless user experiences.
Own the frontend portion of projects from initial concept through to production deployment.
Focus on performance optimization, accessibility compliance, and scalability in every solution.
Write reusable, testable, and efficient front-end code following modern best practices.
Conduct testing, gather user feedback, and iterate on features and design based on real-world use and data.
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive behavior across devices.
Maintain a strong attention to detail while delivering features within tight timelines.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Proven experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React and Solid.js.
Solid understanding and practical experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and TailwindCSS.
A strong sense of code quality, architecture, and front-end development best practices.
Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code with a focus on scalability and performance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
Strong work ethic with a sense of ownership and accountability for your contributions.
A detail-oriented approach with a keen eye for aesthetics and user experience.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, experience in the following areas will be considered a strong plus:
Familiarity with full-stack development principles and integration with backend systems.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience building inclusive interfaces.
Experience optimizing applications for performance, including lazy loading, code-splitting, and caching strategies.
Exposure to UX/UI testing, A/B testing, or working directly with user research data.
Understanding of SEO best practices as they relate to modern frontend development.
