React Frontend Revamp & Enhancements

I’m running a live MERN application and it’s time to give the React side some love. The brief is three-fold: refresh the UI/UX, squeeze out more performance, and roll out a handful of new features that have been sitting on my roadmap. I don’t have a fixed design system yet, so I’m looking for your creative direction; clean, modern, and responsive are the only non-negotiables.

The existing codebase is organised and running on the usual stack—React with functional components and hooks, Node/Express, and MongoDB—but the front layer now feels dated and a bit sluggish. I’d like you to:

• Propose an updated design concept (wireframes or Figma mock-ups are fine)
• Refactor or extend components to match that look, keeping accessibility in mind
• Identify performance bottlenecks (lazy loading, code-splitting, memoisation, etc.) and implement fixes
• Ship the new features we’ll define together, following the same styling and performance standards
• Hand over clean, well-commented code and a concise summary of changes so I can track the improvements easily

React, Redux/Context, React-Query, Tailwind or Material-UI—use whichever tools you’re fastest with, provided the end result is lightweight and maintainable.
