Finish Web Productivity App Development
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I already have the skeleton of an online productivity tool in place, but it still needs to grow into a polished, fully-functioning system. The current codebase covers the basic layout and authentication; what’s missing is everything that turns it into a daily-use application.
Core requirement
• Robust task-management module: create, edit, prioritise, tag and archive tasks; drag-and-drop reordering; clean list and Kanban views; fast search and filtering.
Platform coverage
The interface must adapt smoothly to desktop, mobile and tablet screens. I’m using responsive layouts now, but I’ll rely on you to tighten breakpoints, optimise touch interactions and confirm cross-browser consistency.
Tech context
The stack is standard MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node). If you prefer a comparable framework, let’s discuss before you start. Real-time features (e.g. WebSockets) and calendar integration are not in scope for the first milestone, yet please keep the codebase extensible so those additions slot in later without rewrites.
Deliverables
1. Production-ready frontend and backend code pushed to my Git repo.
2. Seed data and clear setup instructions for local and cloud deployment.
3. Brief hand-off document outlining architecture choices and extension points.
4. One short recorded walkthrough showing the finished task flow on desktop and a phone simulator.
Acceptance criteria
• All listed task-management actions work without console errors.
• UI passes Lighthouse performance & accessibility audits ≥90.
• Application renders correctly on the latest Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, plus iOS/Android browsers.
• Automated tests cover critical task logic.
I’m ready to screen-share, hand over the repo and clarify anything you need to hit the ground running.
